On your trip with CFL Charters, you will fish from a 24′ Everglades center console, accommodating up to six guests.
My focus everyday is to put my clients on the fish of their life. Normally we would take a near shore trip first where I will put you on sharks from 3-6 feet in the 10-50 pound range. Next we will go out to international waters where you will catch Amberjacks AKA “reef donkeys” in the 30-80 pound range as well as bigger sharks ranging over 100lbs. If you want more I will introduce you to Sheila – an 800lb Goliath Grouper!
If the conditions are too rough, Captain Leon will take you fishing nearshore 1-6 miles out, where you will target Tarpon, Snook, Black Drum, and Redfish. On these trips you can expect to come home with many keepers and lots of photos of the big dogs!
I am the only Captain in town that likes to do what they call the puppet show where I will bring most of these sharks in the boat and make them talk to you! I will even filet the fish for you and advise you what restaurants will cook them for you.

Our Captains are prepared with all the equipment necessary to catch whatever may swim your way! All the rods, reels, tackle, and bait will be provided to target whatever species you are hoping to catch!
You Keep Catch
Aside from the species required to be released by law and some species that may not be recommended as table fair, whatever fish are landed while out on the water are yours to keep!

Insane day offshore! Caught multiple 30–50 lb Amberjacks and even brought a big shark boat-side for photos. The Everglades boat was super stable, and Captain Leon knew exactly where to find the fish. Definitely doing this again.

This was the wildest fishing experience I’ve ever had! Captain Leon had us on sharks within the first 30 minutes—3 to 5 footers that fought like monsters. Then we hit international waters and wrestled a massive Amberjack that nearly broke my arms. Absolutely unforgettable.
