Captain John, a 5th generation Key West native, turned his lifelong passion for fishing into a professional career in 2008. Since then, he has been running charters and opened his own fishing charter business in 2018. With a natural love for fishing and a desire to share it with others, Captain John looks forward to meeting new clients and welcoming you and your loved ones aboard to the Dry Tortugas!
When you book a charter with us, you will spend the day on the “Heavy Hitter,” a 34′ Contender. All charters accommodate up to six people; however, we recommended 4 to 5 people due to the distance.
Whether you are looking to spend the day fishing for Grouper, Snapper, Tuna, and more, or snorkeling in the marine reserve, or exploring the historic Fort Jefferson, this charter is completely customizable to your preference.
The trip to the Dry Tortugas is approximately two hours. As this tends to be a long day, we encourage you to bring food and drinks on board.

Join us for an incredible day fishing the pristine Dry Tortuga waters, approximately 70 miles from Key West.
The fishing is limitless with the speed equipped on Fish Daily Charters, we can be there in just an hour and half. Fishing is guaranteed to be non-stop and bound to send you home with a cooler full of fish and memories that’ll last a life time.
We are also welcome to stop and walk around the park and check out a beautiful piece of history. Dry Tortugas is also home to one of the world’s largest marine bird sanctuaries in the world.
Please Note:Â There is an additional $500Â fuel charge paid to the captain at the dock.Â

Cleaning & Filleting
Upon arrival from your day on the water, your catch will be filleted and bagged for you and your family/friends to take home and enjoy!
Live Bait Well
Our Captain’s boat is equipped with a live bait well, which may be used to hold bait and other smaller fish you may catch.
Rods, Reels, & Tackle
Our Captains are prepared with all the equipment necessary to catch whatever may swim your way! All the rods, reels, tackle, and bait will be provided to target whatever species you are hoping to catch!
You Keep Catch
Aside from the species required to be released by law and some species that may not be recommended as table fair, whatever fish are landed while out on the water are yours to keep!
