Took a trip with Captain Randy with my teenage son and we both had a great time.Overall just a really fun few hours fishing and something we’ll probably do again next time we’re in florida.
Had an awesome afternoon fishing with Captain Randy. What I liked most was how much effort he puts into finding fish. The peacock bass are super aggressive and hit hard which makes them really fun on light tackle. Randy also knows a lot about the area and told us stories about growing up fishing these canals which was cool. It’s a really unique fishery right in the middle of the city. I’d definitely do it again.
Went out with Captain Randy with my brother and we had a blast. Randy showed us how to work the baits and what to look for when spotting peacocks near the banks. A couple times we watched them come out from under the ledge and crush the bait which was pretty exciting. The boat setup is great . We ended up catching several peacock bass and one nice largemouth before heading back. Definitely worth doing if you're in Miami.
Really cool experience fishing in Miami with Captain Randy. I had heard about peacock bass fishing here but didn’t realize how good it actually is. Randy moves around a lot and doesn’t waste time sitting in one place if the fish aren’t biting. We fished several different canals and almost every stop had fish. The Garmin electronics and trolling motor setup let him move quietly along the banks which helped a lot when sight fishing. The fish fight hard. Definitely recommend this trip if you want something unique while visiting Miami.
Great experience with Captain Randy. I’ve fished Miami canals before but he definitely knows the spots. We sight fished a few peacocks and it was awesome watching them chase the bait right by the boat. Boat is small but perfect for the canals and really quiet.
Went out with Captain Randy for peacock bass and it was a blast. We were fishing within a few minutes of stopping at the first canal. He moves around a lot and keeps you on fish which I liked. Ended up catching a bunch of peacocks and one decent largemouth too. Super fun trip.
