Our fleet features four boats ranging from 24 to 26 feet, ideal for inshore/nearshore fishing. These boats are perfectly suited for navigating the waters of Key West and are equipped with live-wells, built-in coolers, and more for a successful day of fishing.
Our charters accommodate a maximum of 4 people. With years of experience fishing in the Florida Keys, Captain John ensures safe and enjoyable charters for all his customers.
We offer a wide variety of trip choices, from backcountry fishing in the flats and bays targeting Snook, Trout, Redfish, Permit, and Tarpon using live bait, to reef trips targeting Grouper, Snapper, Mackerel, Barracuda, and more.

All licenses, necessary equiptment, and roads and reels are included. A cooler will be provided and will be stocked with bottled water.

You Keep Catch
Aside from the species required to be released by law and some species that may not be recommended as table fair, whatever fish are landed while out on the water are yours to keep!

Had an incredible time with Captain John (Jr.)! He knew all the best fishing spots for the fish we were targeting. We initially booked for a 3/4 day charter, but ended up extending our fishing charter by about 1.5 hours to try some night fishing with him. We ended up fighting a 140-pound Tarpon for over 40 minutes nearing the end of the day. Despite not landing it, it was still super fun! Captain John knows the waters, the techniques, and how to hook the fish. Wouldn’t consider fishing with anyone else when looking for the best fishing charters in Key West, FL!

I decided to celebrate my 50th birthday with some fishing in Key West. My wife and I were set with Captain Zac for the occasion, and it turned out to be a perfect day. The weather was fantastic, and Zac led us to a spot near a shipwreck where the fishing action was incredible. We caught Yellow Jack, Nurse Sharks, Goliath Grouper, and Permit, and Barracuda. It was a great way to celebrate my birthday. Today was truly special, thanks again to Zac!

We Brough our two boys, aged 11 and 8, fishing in key west for the first time! Captain Jared was fantastic – he entertained us with stories and taught the boys about different fish. Despite our family’s experience, he kept up with all of us, helping with baiting and setting up our fishing gear. We caught grouper, snapper, and a 7-foot lemon shark. We had a great time with Captain David! He patiently answered our questions, handled baiting (knowing it wasn’t my forte), and assisted when I caught a “rock fish.” 😂 We reached our limit before our charter ended. Highlight of the day was hooking a Goliath grouper. While we weren’t targeting anything specific, we landed yellow Jack, grouper, snapper, and mackerel.FYI there is no bathroom and you bring your own drinks and snack.

Our trip with David was really nice! We hit up three different spots, and each had a bunch of fish on them. We must have caught at least 30 fish, and we kept the ones worth eating. Only downside is it was a little rough and there was no bathroom on board.
After the trip, we headed over to Hurricane Hole, where they cooked up our catch for us. It was a great experience having David join us for the meal. We can’t recommend Reel Easy Charters enough and will definitely be booking with them again when looking fish in key west!!

David’s expertise was evident throughout the entire day. He assessed our fishing skills and provided extra assistance as needed, allowing experienced anglers to fish independently. David also helped us arrange shipping for our catch back to New England and allowed us to use the boat’s cooler to keep our fish fresh while we ate at the marina.
