At Skinny D’s, Captain Derek is dedicated to bringing you a great day on the water!
You’ll fish from a 25′ Carolina Skiff that accommodates a maximum of 4 anglers. The boat is equipped with essential amenities such as an ice box, two live wells, and a wireless trolling motor. All necessary fishing gear, from rods to terminal tackle, is provided, along with fishing licenses covered by the captain.
The fishing opportunities vary with the season and weather, presenting chances to catch Redfish, Snook, Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Sea Trout, and Sheepshead. While catch and release is encouraged, legal species that are caught during the trip can be kept. Depending on the species being targeted, we will use a range of fishing techniques such as trolling, drift fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning.
Guests are allowed to bring limited amounts of beer and wine (no glass bottles) for enjoyment on board. To ensure a comfortable trip, guests are encouraged to bring food, extra drinks, and sunscreen! All ages are welcome so bring the whole family along!

Our Captain’s boat is equipped with a live bait well, which may be used to hold bait and other smaller fish you may catch.
Rods, Reels, & Tackle
Our Captains are prepared with all the equipment necessary to catch whatever may swim your way! All the rods, reels, tackle, and bait will be provided to target whatever species you are hoping to catch!
You Keep Catch
Aside from the species required to be released by law and some species that may not be recommended as table fair, whatever fish are landed while out on the water are yours to keep!
