Join Capt. Steve Cacchio, a fourth-generation fisherman, to experience one of the best St. Augustine fishing charters!
Steve Cacchio’s Summer School Charters specializes in catching the saltwater gamefish species that Florida is most famous for, both inshore and nearshore. A particular highlight is our thriving redfish population. Depending on the season and tides, we encounter flood-tide tailing fish in the spartina grass and massive spawning fish in our inlets in the fall.
Our excursions accommodate 4 passengers and take place on a 23′ Pathfinder HPS Bay Boat with a 250 Yamaha SHO, ensuring a reliable and powerful vessel for your fishing adventure.

Starting the year with big Redfish and a couple of Sheepshead was the best decision we made. Can’t wait to book again.
Professional, patient, and fun—Steve had us catching fish all day long, and he shared plenty of tips for improving our technique.
Â
Loved the mix of inshore and nearshore fishing. We filled the cooler with Trout and Snapper, and the views of St. Augustine were stunning.
Â
Steve made sure we had nonstop action—Redfish, Trout, and even a surprise Bluefish. The boat handled the chop easily.
Â
The nearshore bite was hot! We picked up Grouper and Snapper before coming back in to hit the flats for Trout.
Â
Great variety—Sheepshead, Redfish, and even a small Cobia made the day exciting. Steve kept the pace steady and fun.
Â
Fishing the flats was incredible. We sight-cast to tailing Redfish and caught a few in the slot range for dinner.
Â
Couldn’t have asked for better conditions or a better captain. We landed a couple of big Redfish and plenty of smaller ones for fun.
Â
Captain Steve knows his stuff—put us on Snook and Trout right away, and we even saw dolphins cruising by.
Â
Top-notch experience! The Pathfinder was clean, comfortable, and perfect for chasing Sheepshead and Redfish around the jetties.
Â
Beautiful day in St. Augustine’s inshore waters. We caught Redfish and Trout, and Steve was great with the kids.

Captain Steve had us on the fish within minutes—big Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and even a surprise Flounder made for an awesome first trip.

Will definitely be a repeat customer, this was the first charter I have done that was private and Captain Steve blew my expectations out of the water, great guy and he knows where the fish are!
Captain Steve is the best! His knowledge of the water is top notch, got us on fish in no time! Can't wait to go again.
We caught some keepers for the dinner table, but that wasn't the only reason I am giving a 5 star. Clean boat, Patient, answered all questions, great with my kid, and much more are other reasons why Steve is top of the line when it comes to Captains.
10/10 Recommend. Had the greatest day on the boat. Steve was very knowledgeable and patient, found us a great honey-hole of drum, where we spent most of our time catching everything that was biting!
Great day on the water, Steve was amazing helping out my 11 year old son, he even gave a few tips and tricks to make sure we landed the biggest fish of the day! Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys good days fishing!
Amazing day with Captain Steve. He was great with our kids and very helpful with the proper way to reel in the monsters we got on the end of our line.Â
Steve hooked all of us up on some big fish, nice clean boat and his decades of experience is very apparent from the time you leave the dock till you return.
Captain Steve is a professional with amazing communication skills. His boat is clean and his gear is top notch. Caught our limit of fish even while other guides in the area were struggling. He was also great with my kids. Next time we are in the area we will definitely book again.
Reeled in a massive king mackerel, what a dream come true, this is my go to Captain for private charters in the future.
Capt. Steve will be a Local Legend for years to come! You can tell he loves what he does and knows the area like the back of his hand. We have fished with him on multiple occasions, always catch plenty of fish.
