Top Notch Sportfishing (Tarpon Fishing)

5.0  (0 Review)

Marathon, Florida

3502 Gulfview Ave, Marathon, Florida, 33050

Fish the Florida Keys with Top Notch Sportfishing aboard a 31’ Egret center console powered by a Yanmar diesel engine and equipped with Garmin radar and electronics. The vessel features 360° fishing access, a shaded T-top, and space for up to six anglers.

Tarpon trips run April through June, targeting the peak migration of these world-class sportfish. Fishing takes place around the Seven Mile Bridge, Bahia Honda State Park, Long Key Bridge, and nearby channels where tarpon gather to feed. Live mullet and pinfish are commonly used, freelined in the current to draw strikes. In addition to tarpon, anglers may also hook barracuda and shark.

Trips are scheduled at dawn or dusk, when tarpon feed most actively. Evening trips include the added bonus of a Florida Keys sunset. Fly anglers are welcome, with an open bow layout that accommodates casting, but personal fly gear must be provided.

All rods, reels, bait, tackle, and fishing licenses are included, along with an ice box for food and drinks. Keeper species will be cleaned and filleted by the crew at the end of the trip.
